School Chaplain

Part-Time Position

We have a dream where every 16–18 year old in education across Northumberland has access to a chaplain, someone who will listen, encourage, and walk alongside them through the ups and downs of life.

We’re looking for people who:

  • Are able to give a few hours, one day a week, to your local 6th form
  • Have experience listening to others in a pastoral setting
  • Are open to being trained as chaplains
  • Have worked with 16–18 year olds in some capacity
  • Are happy to be part of a supportive, growing team

A full recruitment process will be carried out, and all roles will have the option of being salaried.

We’re excited about this next chapter and we’d love to chat with you if your heart is stirred by this vision. If you’re interested in joining our team, then please do get in touch.

Trustees of The Roost

Voluntary Position

We are looking for three people to join our trustees team. Trustees have responsibility for the overall governance and direction of the charity, and a key skill is to be able to discern and ask the right question at the right time. Trustees currently meet three times a year online, and once a year in person – so individuals may be based anywhere. Previous experience of trusteeship in charities is desirable but not essential – more important is a willingness to speak up, to develop the vision and practice of the charity and to be committed to its flourishing. For more information please contact our chair of trustees, tara@roostcommunity.org
